Remember on Sunday how I said that this comic perfectly described my sister's sense of humor?
Well I found out today from my mom that my sister laughed out loud when she saw it and thought it was the funniest thing ever. I was spot on.
I'm excited to spend the next week at home with the family. I'm hoping to use the break as a detox from the stress of college and classes and living in the dorms. After only coming home once from school this term, I missed being home.
I'm watching a Criminal Minds with my parents about a serial killer who targets victims based on their online activity, mostly blogging. Perfect timing. Really. There are some creepy people out there that's for sure. The victims were selected based on fantasies they wrote in their blogs and the killer would make those fantasies come to life one way or another. One girl wrote about how she wanted a man to come through her window and "ravish" her... and that's what happened, except he killed her after. One girl just wrote about how she wanted to fall asleep under an oak tree like she did when she was a little girl.
That was an unrelated little tangent there, I just thought it was a creepy coincidence. Anyways, back to spring break. I don't think you ever realize how much you're going to miss something until you're not around it anymore. Before I left for college, I never thought much of all the times my family would just sit around together and watch TV and hang out, but since I've been away, I miss it a lot. The same is true with Sam. I never realize how huge a part of my life he was until he's suddenly missing.
My "normal" is so incredibly different than it was before I left, and as much as I like the college atmosphere, it's hard not to miss the people that are most important to me - my family and my boyfriend. I love my college friends, but I miss hanging out with the friends that have been my friends for years as opposed the the friends I've known for months.
Spring break is a chance for me to live my old life (with the exception of Sam being around) for a week. I'm excited for it. :)
