Day Fifty Eight

I made this today, with the help of Google images -  as a tribute to some of my favorite stories. With all of the trash TV and poorly written novels out there today, it's hard to remember that there are amazing stories out there. I was originally inspired to do this project by this image I saw on imgur:

but I knew I had to change my picks because

1. I never read the Harry Potter series (I think I made it through the first four).
2. I watch Pirates of the Caribbean for entertainment and Will Turner, not for its plot.
3. I was never blown away by The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Maybe I need to read it again.
4. I don't even know who's in that last panel.

Of course, there are a lot more books I've read that have amazing stories. "Peeps" by Scott Westerfeld is an example. "Double Identity" also blew my mind both times I read it. The thing is though, I don't have much time to read anymore (reading for college courses doesn't count). I'm starting "The Silmarillion" over spring break, but that's the first book I've read that I've actually chosen to read since "1984," and even that was for school.

These are the stories I chose:

Uglies
by Scott Westerfeld

The Hunger Games
by Suzanne Collins

1984
by George Orwell

The Book Thief
by Markus Zusak

Forrest Gump
by Winston Groom

The Lord of the Rings
by JJR Tolkien
