Like I mentioned yesterday, being in a long distance relationship is a lot harder than I had anticipated. I mean, I never thought it was going to be easy, but I did think it was going to be a lot more manageable. It's hard to be a part of each other's lives when you don't see each other, let alone get to talk. I'm just thankful that I don't have to deal with some of the other negative aspects that often come with a long distance relationship, especially when it comes to trust.
Many guys in Sam's position wouldn't trust me to stay faithful to them - I'm at a college while they're away for months at a time - but Sam does, and it takes a lot of stress out of our relationship. It probably wouldn't work out between us if he didn't trust me and vise versa. I started dating him a month before he went to boot camp. If I wasn't 100 percent sure a relationship with him was what I wanted, I never would've committed in the first place.
Military relationships are infamous for not working out. Today, I wanted to share a story of one such relationship and the Marine who dealt with it like a boss.

Also, finished watching The Two Towers with my mom. Her predictions for the third movie are:
1. Everyone's going to die but Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin.
2. Aragorn is going to die and go to another realm thing to be with Arwen.
3. Gollum is going to turn good again.
