It was really nice to be able to have dinner and talk to someone from home. Even though we haven't seen each other for a couple of months, nothing changed, and that's the sign of an awesome friendship. The only thing that was a little weird was the face that people assumed we were on a date. Just because a boy and a girl are out to dinner together, doesn't mean THEY'RE together. Especially when they're talking about their significant others. C'mon.
I love my college friends, but honestly, I miss my Salem friends. They're a pretty awesome group of people. I miss having everyone come over after school (or at lunch) and just being able to sit around and talk about anything. Even though we may go weeks, even months without talking to each other, I know that the next time we all get together will be the same as it's always been, expect with more epic stories to tell.
I got a text tonight from an old teammate that read: "Team dinner needs you and Hannah :(." My God do I miss my team! Lacrosse season started this past Monday and, as much as I don't want to admit it, I want to be back out on our crappy practice field with Coach and all the girls. Don't get me wrong, I love being in college, but lacrosse is the one thing that makes me think about wanting to still be in high school.
Have a great season girls :) Make me proud!
I know how you feel, I miss everyone from back home as well! Christmas break just did not seem long enough. Love you guys!
