This morning was Race for the Cure! It's a 5k walk/run (we walked) for breast cancer research. This is my family's sixth year doing the walk. We started doing Race for the Cure when my grandma was healthy enough to do it after winning her fight with breast cancer. She's been in remission for five years now.
Survivors get pink Tshirts and USUALLY get to cross the survivor's finish line, except they didn't have it this year which kind of made me mad. I know running a huge event like that is pricey but that's way too important to cut, especially when it's pretty much free.
Anyways, we went pretty much straight from Portland to Eugene to move me in :) I love love love my apartment. I'll post pictures tomorrow when it's all set up.
My parents are pretty much the best though. For real. Not only did they help bring stuff upstairs to my room, they helped me put all the furniture together (and by help me I mean do it for me. I'm horrible with that kind of stuff). I managed to fit my full bed, bookshelf and nightstand without removing anything from the original set up except the desk. The desk is currently being used in the living room as an entertainment center. My dad had a brilliant idea for the old bed frame which I'll show you all tomorrow.
Oh, and to continue with the parent awesomeness, they took me grocery shopping. I did not even give a damn that I was the only one in Safeway with their parents. I'm sure they were all secretly jealous. :)
Anyways, I've been up way to long and I'm exhausted. Goodnight :)
