Today, Maci and I had our own time together and I've got to say, I had a lot of fun with her :)
This morning, I showed her how to play Zoo Tycoon. I tried to keep my perfectionism in check (she wanted to put the shelters smack dab in the middle of the exhibits!) and let her do her own thing and I think I was successful for the most part. I built the fences and paths since she was struggling with it and she did the exhibits exactly how she wanted. The best part was hearing her laugh about how many ostriches we had by the end of the day considering we only started with four.
While Chloe was napping, we did some big girl artsy stuff. I brought two different art projects with me and she chose painting shells and rocks. I don't have a picture of her's yet, but here's what I painted:
Beautiful, right? If we end up doing our other project tomorrow, I'll be sure to post it :)
We went to Starbucks in Safeway after my aunt got home. We were picking up stuff to being back, but since my aunt said to take our time, we did. Maci found some stickers she wanted to use for tomorrow's project, and I was paying for them I thought, "Ah, what the heck," and bought two $1 scratch-its. (Side note: getting carded is really cool when you're actually old enough. It's like, "Hell yes I'm an adult.")
As we were drinking our Starbucks, Maci and I each scratched off our scratch-its. I won $2. I bought two more. Won $2 again. Bought two more. Maci won $4.
Aaaaaaaand now she's an addict.
She got to pick out some candy and I spent the other $2 on more scratch-its. That's where our winning streak ended but Maci's determined to win again so I'm feeding her addiction and taking her tomorrow.
