Day Fourteen

I know that we strongly dislike each other now, but that doesn't mean I don't miss our friendship.

Day Thirteen

This is my little sister:

After yesterday's post, she was a bit disappointed she didn't get to be a part of one of my projects, so we planned on doing a Snapchat project tonight. However, after this:

I realized it probably wasn't going to happen. We Snapchatted anyway though, because I miss her. It's hard being away from her and missing her go through her first year of high school. As much as we used to annoy each other at home (and trust me, it was a lot), we still get love each other and I can honestly say she's one of my best friends.

I love that girl to death. Here's why:

Day Twelve

I love my friends. This story started as one sentence and grew with every new person I sent it to, as everyone got to add one sentence. This is what we came up with.

He had never seen a girl so beautiful in his life. It was almost as if she was from a dream. Suddenly she waved at him and he had no idea what to do, but he approached her anyway. She gave him a dirty look and said "leave me alone, you're not my type." With a flip of her hair she turned her back to him and walked away. As she walked away he called out to her and asked "at least have coffee with me." She didn't look back, but the back of her head was enough to haunt him forever. He thought about her continuously, always wondering If he'd see her again. Then, a few weeks later, he was reading the weekly paper on a bench at the park and saw the girl he had not been able to get off of his mind in a heated conversation with another man. He couldn't let her get away again, so he approached them cautiously. Suddenly the woman pulled out a gun and shot the other man in the crotch. Before he could turn away she noticed him watching her and turned to face him. She pointed the gun at him and said "What are you going to do?" He grabbed her face and kissed her passionately, as the gun slipped out of her hand and she surrendered to his love. As they looked deeply into each others eyes, she realized that she had been wrong all along. She quickly reached for her phone to call the hospital, but realised it was to late. She observed her surroundings and took off in the opposite direction in a moment of terror, leaving the gun behind her. The man was frozen in a state of half confusion, half amazement, as she exited the park, and descended into the subway. As he came to the bottom of the stairs, he turned the corner and came face to face with an armed nuclear bomb, and watched it as the timer count down from 3, 2, 1, 0.

Day Eleven

It's something that had to be done today.

I'm sorry the video quality is iffy, if anyone knows how to fix it let me know. It shows up perfect on my computer when I open the file.

Btw, the song is Burn by Usher.

Day Ten

I don't really have anything to show for today because my Love Project for the day is sitting in my best friend's mailbox. She doesn't get a lot of mail besides bills and junk mail, so I decided I'd write her a letter telling her how much I love her as my best friend and leave it in her mailbox. She'll get it the next time she checks her mail :)

Day Nine

After seeing my project from last Saturday, my friend Emma asked me to make a quote out of magazine letters for her dorm room, so I made this:

If anyone has any requests for a project they want me to do, just send me an email. :) Have a good Saturday everyone!

Day Seven

I decided that on Thursdays, I'm going to do a kind of "Throwback Thursday" thing (I know this isn't Instagram, but

)

This isn't a lame excuse to have a lazy day and instead of coming up with something new and creative, just post an old photo and call it good. On Thursdays, I'm going to take something old and make it new again.

Today, I just want to share a little bit about myself because I think it's important you all know a little bit about the person whose blog you're reading.

This is my favorite photo from my trip to Japan this summer:

This is Itsukushima Shrine, located on Miyajima Island, a small island community off the coast of Hiroshima. While I was there, I saw the most beautiful wedding ceremony; the bride was dressed in an extremely intricate pure-white ceremonial kimono (I was later told a kimono like that could cost 10,000 American dollars to rent) and I swear she was the most gorgeous woman in the world at that moment.  I may not have understood a word of the ceremony or any of the traditions, and I certainly didn't know the bride and the groom, but it didn't matter- it was the most magical wedding I've ever experienced.

I may have only spent a few hours on Miyajima, but it's my favorite place in the world. It's where I picture when I picture paradise. It's where I plan to take my boyfriend when he has enough leave saved up. It's where I dream of having my honeymoon. This picture for me doesn't just represent an amazing vacation, it represents my perfect love life. I'm always going to associate Miyajima, and especially Itsukushima Shrine, with romance, and whoever I bring with me to that island should know they're pretty special to me if I'm sharing my paradise with them.

Just some unrelated notes:

I don't make my own GIFs (yet)- today's GIF was brought to you from Funny or Die.

I also love feedback, so leave a comment if you have something to say! I really do appreciate all the support. Over 100 views in a week is way more than I anticipated and I hope you keep coming back for more.

Day Five

A few months ago, one of my friends bought me this and it's been hanging out on my fridge ever since.

Now that my best friend is talking to her Marine ex-boyfriend again, I thought she needed this for her wall:

We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." -Dr. Seuss

Day One

Today is Day One of a 365-day creative adventure. This is kind of how I'm feeling right now:

I'm breaking out of my comfort zone of creating for someone else. Every project I've ever worked on has been for someone else- not this one. This one is just for me. I honestly have no idea where this journey is going to take me or what I'm hoping to gain from it, but I'm excited. With a theme like "love," there's a lot that could come out of this project. I guess we'll just have to see.

My "creation" for today was this blog. I could make up some extended metaphor about how this blog, like true love, takes nurturing to grow and flourish and how it represents a commitment and whatnot, but that's not why I chose to use this blog as my first creation. Even though I only have one post so far, I know this is a blog I'm going to look back at in a year and say "I love this."

You can read more about my project and why I'm doing it here.
